Currently, twenty four Indiana county assessor offices are increasing staff productivity and document accessibility by scanning and processing sales disclosure forms (SDF) — a key document used to collect property sales data.
The system combines a document scanner with text-recognition software. The scanner converts the sales disclosure forms into digital images while the software "reads" the information contained within the images. Both the images and the data are sent to an electronic repository and are searchable by predefined fields (such as parcel number, name, date and address) from a desktop computer.
SCOPE is a DoxTek solution that combines document imaging software and hardware to dramatically increase the productivity of county employees. It's affordable, scalable, and remarkably easy to use.
Data from any county document or form is captured using a high-speed scanner — eliminating the need for tedious manual data entry. The data is stored in a repository, where it can be searched, sorted, manipulated, exported, printed or archived on various media, including CD-ROM.
